Stamped Concrete in Hickory Hills
The look of stone. The strength of one solid slab. Colors picked to suit your house.
Stone Look, Concrete Strength
Good stamped concrete fools people. Bad stamped concrete looks like gray slab with a pattern dragged across it. The gap between them is timing and hand work. The slab starts like every other one we pour: old material out, stone base compacted, proper thickness, steel where needed. Then the decorative work begins. Pigment gets blended in or dusted on. Then antiquing release, for shading. Mats are pressed in when the concrete is stiff enough to hold a sharp texture but soft enough to take it. Finishers hand-texture the borders so the pattern does not quit at the boards. Joints are cut along grout lines where they disappear. Once cured: wash, then seal. On walking areas, a fine grit goes in the sealer for footing. Samples come with us, held up against your brick and trim. Raised ranches in Hickory Hills often have a front entry and a back yard that both suit a stone look, and we help you decide where the money is best spent.
